There are 600 tennis players,out of which 4% wear wrist band on One wrist.Of the remaining players,25% wear on both hands.How many players don't wear a wrist band?

Answer:432 players
Explanation:
4% of 600 is 24.
ie)24 players are wearing band in one hand
Remaining 576 players are there. Among them,only 25%
is wearing in both hands. ie)75% of players(among 576) are not wearing band
75% of 576 is 432
576*(75/100)=432

1.Jim travels the first 3 hours of his journey at 60 kmph speed & remaining 5 hrs at 24 kmph speed.What is the average speed of Jim's travel in kmph?


ANSWER:37.5kmph
Explanation: The total distance Jim travels is 300 kmph and the total hour he travels is 8. To find average, just divide total distance by time
300km/8hr = 37.5 kmph

2.The population of a city increases by 4% per annum.There is an additional annual increase of 4% due to job seekers.Find the percentage increase after 2 yrs?

ANSWER:
17 % increase in population
Explanation:Every year population increases by 8%
say,if 100 people r there,then
after 1st yr=108(8% increase)
2nd yr=117(108+(108/100))

3.The ratio of daily wages of two workers is 4 : 3 and
one gets daily Rs 9 more than the other, what are their daily
wages respectively?

ANSWER:
The daily wages of the workers are 36 and 27
Explanation:Let their daily wages be 4x and 3x respectively.(The difference between their wages is 'x')

PUZZLE:

The square of a positive integer is more than its five times by 14. What is the positive integer?



ANSWER: The positive Integer is 7


EXPLANATION: Let the positive integer be 'x'.

Mathematically it can be represented as x^2=5x+14

==>x^2-5x-14=0.

Solving the above equation we get x=7 & x=-2

Since the question is about positive integer, therefore x=7 is the correct answer
